Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.                                                                                                                                                                            m0706

For as thou art going with thine adversary before the magistrate, on the way give diligence to be quit of him; lest haply he hale thee unto the judge, and the judge shall deliver thee to the officer, and the officer shall cast thee into prison. I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou have paid the very last mite.                                                                                         l1258-9/m0525-6

Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's.                                        k1217/m2221/l2025

[And he looked up, and saw the rich men that were casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.]
Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all: for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts: but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had.                                                                                                                 l2101-4/k1241-4

[To the rich young man:] One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
[But when he heard these things, he became exceeding sorrowful; for he was very rich.]                                1822-3/m1921-2/k1021-2

Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.                                                                                                                                                   l1041-2
