4 THE HOLY SPIRIT (cont'd)
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you
that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you;
but if I go, I will send him unto you. And he, when he is come, will convict
the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: of sin,
because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to the
Father, and ye behold me no more; of judgement, because the prince of this
world hath been judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but
what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare
unto you the things that are to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall take
of mine, and shall declare it unto you. All things whatsoever the Father
hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare
it unto you.

And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the
authorities, be not anxious how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall
say: for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that very hour what ye ought to
say.

It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within
his own authority. But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea
and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. a0105-8
Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
[And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them,]
Receive ye the Holy Ghost: whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven
unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them
to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you
alway, even unto the end of the world.
