3 GOD (cont'd)
[The Jews: How knoweth this man letters,
having never learned?]
My teaching is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man willeth to do his
will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it be of God, or whether I
speak from myself. He that speaketh from himself seeketh his own glory: but
he that seeketh the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and no
unrighteousness is in him. j0715-8
[To the Pharisees:] I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you:
howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him,
these speak I unto the world.
[They perceived not that he spake to them of the Father.]
When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and
that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these
things.
j0826-8
I speak the things which I have seen with my Father: ....
j0838
For I spake not from myself; but the Father which sent me, he hath given me
a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that
his commandment is life eternal: the things therefore which I speak, even as
the Father hath said unto me, so I speak.
j1249-50
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words
that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me
doeth his works.
j1410
No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my
Father I have made known unto you. j1515
Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received
them, and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed
that thou didst send me.
j1707-8
11 Obedience of Christ to God
And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone; for I do
always the things that are pleasing to him.
j0829
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept
my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
j1510
..... as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do.
j1431
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me:
nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
m2639/l2242/k1435-46
O my Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.
m2642
[To Peter:] Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath
given me, shall I not drink it? j1811
