Gabriel: Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt
call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the
Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father
David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom
there shall be no end.

Christ should be born: In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the

According to they word, in peace;

Simeon to Mary: Behold, this child is set for the falling and rising up of
many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against; yea and a sword shall
pierce through thine own soul; that thoughts out of many hearts may be
revealed.

John the Baptist: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that
cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he
shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: whose fan is in his hand,
and he will throughly cleanse his threshing-floor; and he will gather his
wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.

John the Baptist: Behold, the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the
world! This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is become before
me: for he was before me. And I knew him not; but that he should be made
manifest to Israel, for this cause came I baptizing with water.
I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven; and it abode upon
him. And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, he said
unto me, Upon whomsoever thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and abiding
upon him, the same is he that baptizeth with the Holy Spirit. And I have seen,
and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.
