False Prophets
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly
are ravening wolves. By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes
of thorns, or figs of thistles?

A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own

[Interpreting the parable of the Sower:] He that soweth the good seed is the
Son of man; and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons
of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy that
sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the
reapers are angels. As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with
fire; so shall it be in the end of the world. The Son of man shall send forth
his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause
stumbling, and them that do iniquity, and shall cast them into the furnace of
fire: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the
righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath
ears, let him hear.

The Destruction of Jerusalem
Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your

hills, Cover us. For if they do these things in the green tree, what shall be

Signs indicating the end of the World
[The Disciples: Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the
sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?]
Take heed that no man lead you astray. For many shall come in my name, saying,
I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. And ye shall hear of wars and
rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for these things must needs come
to pass; but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers
places. But all these things are the beginning of travail.
