13 VOCATION (cont'd)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
j0151
Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. k0117/l0510/m0419
Take heed that no man lead you astray. Many shall come in my name, saying, I
am he; and shall lead many astray.
k1305-6/l2108/m2404-5
And then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ; or, Lo, there;
believe it not: for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and
shall shew signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, the
elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have told you all things beforehand.
k1321-3/m2423-4/l1723
Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye
would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater
than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come
to pass, ye may believe.
j1428-9
Betrayal
These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, how
that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of
Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me. l2444
I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may
be fulfilled, He that eateth my bread lifted up his heel against me. From
henceforth I tell you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass,
ye may believe that I am he.
j1318-9
Verily I say unto you, One of you shall betray me, even he that eateth with
me.
[And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I?]
It is one of the twelve, he that dippeth with me in the dish. For the Son of
man goeth, even as it is written of him: but woe unto that man through whom
the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had not been born.
k1418-21/j1321-6/m2621-4 /l2221-3
All ye shall be offended in me this night: for it is written, I will smite the
shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. But after I am
raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.
[Peter: If all shall be offended in thee, I will never be offended.]
Verily I say unto thee, that this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny
me thrice.
m2631-4/k1427-30/l2233-4/j1337-8
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man
to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the
Father is with me.
j1632
Why sleep ye? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
