13 VOCATION (cont'd)
[To Nathaneal:] Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye shall see
the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son
of man.

Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: .... l0810/m1311/k0411
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. For
verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the
things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear,
and heard them not. m1316-7/l1023-4
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be
revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in the darkness,
speak ye in the light: and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the
housetops.
m1026-7/l1202-3
Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
m1617
[After the transfiguration:] Arise, and be not afraid.
m1707
[As they were coming down from the mountain:] Tell the vision to no man, until
the Son of man be risen from the dead.
m1709/k0909
[Concerning the washing of the disciples' feet:] What I do thou knowest not
now; but thou shalt understand hereafter. j1307
These thing have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you. But the
Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto
you.
j1425-6
No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord
doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my
Father I have made known unto you.
j1515
But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may
remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from
the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go unto him that sent me;
....
j1604-5
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the
truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall
hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are
to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare it
unto you. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I,
that he taketh of mine, and shall declare it unto you.
j1613-5
I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine
they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word. Now they
know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee: for the
words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received them, and
knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst
send me.
j1706-8
I have given them thy word; ....
j1714
O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew
that thou didst send me; and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it
known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
j1725-6
These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, how that
all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and
the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.
[Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures; ....]

Early Failure
[The disciples, concerning epilepsy in a boy: Why could not we cast it out?]
Because of your little faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a
grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
m1719-20/k0928-9
This kind can come out by nothing, save by prayer.
